My time here will be long over by the time you are my age though I haven't reached that 80, yet. Of all the ordinary and artistic people I have come across in my time in this realm, you, Tenille Townes have been most inspiring as a songwriter and one extraordinary human being. I have spent several years listening to and performing some of the most cherished songs you have written and performed. That includes the "weird open tunings" you taught me by me watching your vids. I am hooked on that style and have hardly ever gone back to standard tuning.

I think that’s the first thing that drew me to you & your music is the ability you have to use music to draw people into a common safe space. It is such an incredible gift you have. It even found me in Bob Evans one morning as I enjoyed some much needed and over do “me time”. As I began sipping my freshly poured cup of coffee, “Come As You Are” began to play over the speakers and I thought, “She keeps finding me & meeting me exactly where I am”. I’m so grateful to get to return the favor & be present to you in this space & listen and take in these moments as you’re figuring out life too. It means more than you know, Tenille.
